Management Concepts and the Society for Human Resource Management Team Up to Offer New HR Training Curriculum for the Federal Government
Tyson’s Corner, Va. –
Management Concepts Inc, the nation’s leading provider of practical, effective training to the federal government, today with theSociety for Human Resource Management (SHRM), today announced a joint effort to develop and offer new HR training curriculum specifically tailored for federal agencies.
Through this collaboration, HR professionals in the federal sector will have access to newly developed SHRM courses designed specifically for the federal sector HR professional. Management Concepts will deliver the new course material through highly-effective instructor-led federal government training programs.
“For years, SHRM has provided extensive HR training to companies and other institutions around the world,” says Henry G. (Hank) Jackson, SHRM’s president and CEO. “We look forward to working with Management Concepts to provide federal sector HR professionals with our in-depth HR training programs.”
Six courses will be initially offered and will focus on federal market HR, talent acquisition and development, HR as strategic business partner, building credibility in HR, human capital effectiveness metrics and workforce planning. Future courses will be developed incorporating SHRM’s HR knowledge, Management Concepts government training expertise and the growing needs of the federal HR professional.
“Management Concepts has always provided federal agencies expert training on critical topics,” said Tom Dungan, CEO of Management Concepts, “and with the increase in non-federal HR professionals hired into government, it seems the perfect fit to leverage SHRM’s private sector HR knowledge with Management Concepts public sector training expertise to offer agencies powerful knowledge previously not available to them.”
