Human Resource Indices for Investors Standard Open for Second Public Review and Comment Period
Alexandria, Va., Oct. 5, 2012 – The human resource indices for investors draft standard opened for a second public review and comment period today and will last for 45 days, closing Nov. 11.
The human resource indices for investors standard is intended to provide organizations with a voluntary tool to measure and report the effectiveness and value of their human capital to potential investors.
The first public comment period for the standard ended in May. The taskforce in charge of the standard implemented changes into the second draft document based on comments received from the business and human resources communities. In addition, the taskforce continued to receive comments after the May deadline and will be adding them during the second public review.
“The taskforce is eager to present to the public this new version of the investor metrics standard,” said Lee Webster, SHRM’s director of HR standards. “The newest version reflects comments received during the first comment review period, and we look forward to receiving additional feedback from the public.”
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the administrator of American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) HR standards program. HR professionals, academics, and the business community on standards taskforces create and write the standards. Every HR standard is open for review and comment during the open public review periods. Comments from the general public, mainly composed of HR and business professionals, can change how the standard is written and what is included in the standard.
