ABC News & BBC America Correspondents to Headline SHRM 2010 Employment Law & Legislative Conference
Alexandria, Va. – Claire Shipman of ABC News’ “Good Morning America” and Katty Kay of BBC World News America will join CNN political commentators Amy Holmes and Jamal Simmons, and political pundit Arianna Huffington to headline the 2010 SHRM Employment Law & Legislative Conference scheduled March 17-19 at the Hyatt Washington hotel in Washington, D.C.
The SHRM — Society for Human Resource Management — conference will feature roughly 25 highly-specific sessions on employment law and public policy issues, led by leading public policy experts, to address:
“In this year of economic and political uncertainty, SHRM will bring national political commentators, news correspondents, and public policy decision makers under one roofto discuss the issues that will impact the work force, and how our members’ voice can shape policies and regulations,” said SHRM President and CEO Laurence G. O’Neil.”
Featured speakers Shipman and Kay, co-authors of the book, “Womenomics: Write Your Own Rules for Success,” will offer insight regarding workplace flexibility in addition to insight as national and global news correspondents.
The SHRM legislative conference is an annual event providing attendees critical legal information needed to meet compliance requirements in managing people. Those registered for the conference will also hear from the SHRM government affairs team the latest in advocacy efforts on behalf of the HR profession.
