ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The 2013 Workflex Conference — the only national conference focused on helping employers create effective and flexible workplaces — is an opportunity to network with HR executives and award-winning companies and to gather story ideas about flexibility and the workplace of the future.
WHAT: Transforming Workplaces: Making Work “Work” in a 24/7 Economy, hosted by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Families and Work Institute (FWI).
WHEN: Oct. 29 and 30, 2013
WHERE: San Francisco Marriott Marquis, 780 Mission St., San Francisco
DETAILS: Flexible scheduling — from telecommuting to phased-in retirement — is becoming more common, and research by FWI has shown the positive impacts of these workplace practices. HR and business professionals will gather for the third annual Workflex Conference to discuss the practical steps in creating flexible work practices and to hear from thought leaders about the future of efficient workplaces. Sessions include a look at foresight about the future, gender and generations at work and home, redesigning the workplace for wellness, lean-in for women in business, how employment law affects flexible practices, and the impact of the global economy.
