Record-Breaking SHRM Annual Conference & Expo (SHRM23) Kicks Off in Las Vegas and Virtually

LAS VEGAS - The SHRM Annual Conference & Expo 2023 (SHRM23) officially opened today in Las Vegas and virtually. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from over 380 speakers to explore the latest trends in the ever-evolving HR landscape, from talent acquisition, mental health, empathetic leadership, and employee engagement, HR technology, and more.  

Breaking all-time attendance and revenue records during SHRM’s 75th anniversary year, the Las Vegas Convention Center will welcome over 20,000 human resource professionals, executives, students, and others. In addition, approximately 2,500 attendees are registered to attend virtually. 

Zig Serafin, Chief Executive Officer of Qualtrics kicked things off on the Main Stage at 3:30pm PST. He led a session titled, “Leading the Way: How CHROs are Shaping the Future of Work.” 

“Companies are looking to hold a deeper emotional connection with their employees,” shared Zig. “HR and HR leadership are becoming more strategically important to companies. At the end of the day, the goal is to make business more human.”

SHRM23 runs today through June 14 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and virtually. The theme of SHRM23 is Drive Change, calling on HR to enact positive, meaningful change in their organizations.
