The standard, written by a taskforce of HR professionals and experts, will help employers determine future hiring needs. The standard includes guidelines for workforce planning governance, process, metrics, and data that HR professionals can use to help run their organizations effectively.
The first public review period for the standard ended on March 11. The new draft incorporates comments received from the public during the first public review period.
Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the administrator of
American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) HR standards program. HR professionals, academics, and the business community on standards taskforces create and write the standards. Every HR standard is open for review and comment during the open public review periods. Comments from the general public, mainly composed of HR and business professionals, can change how the standard is written and what is included in the standard.
