SHRM 2017 Diversity & Inclusion Conference & Exposition Set for Oct. 23-25 in San Francisco

ALEXANDRIA, Va., August 1, 2017 — As the diversity and inclusion workplace landscape continues to change, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) 2017 Diversity & Inclusion Conference & Exposition will help organizations learn how to align D&I strategies with business objectives, while creating an inclusive and culturally competent workforce.

More than 500 participants are expected to attend the three-day event, which will include HR experts and business leaders presenting information and best practices at more than 30 sessions.

Bettina Deynes, SHRM's vice president of HR and diversity and the conference's emcee, will share her personal story and how it inspires her work at the world's largest HR professional association during the opening general session at 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 23.

Also, during the Diversity Leaders Exchange sessions, participants will have the opportunity to hear Marcia Jones Calloway, director, diversity & inclusion, The American Institute of Architects; Tiffani "Tie" Wang-Jones, global diversity & inclusion team, IKEA Group; and Bernard C. Coleman III, global head of diversity and inclusion, Uber.
