SHRM Media Wins Three Society of National Association Publications Excel Awards
Awards honor HR Magazine article and SHRM Online content.
Alexandria, Va. − The Society of National Association Publications (SNAP) has announced that HR Magazine, the flagship publication of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and SHRM Online have won three SNAP Excel Awards.
SHRM Online won two Gold Awards for the categories of “Web Site/Editorial Content” and “Web Site/Special Members Area.” SHRM Online provides HR professionals with daily, original content about timely HR issues and practical business advice from HR experts and SHRM Online writers. SHRM Online web-casts, produced in-house, received the “Web Site/Special Members Area” award.
HR Magazine’s March 2008 cover story, “The Brain at Work” won a Bronze Award in the “Feature Articles” category. The magazine delivers the most up-to-date, vital HR and business news monthly to 250,000readers, comprised ofHR professionals at all career levels.
“It’s wonderful to receive recognition for both our cutting-edge web site and the information-rich HR Magazine, in print for more than 50 years,” said SHRM Chief Publishing and E-Media Officer Gary Rubin. “In an era when media is changing at a rapid rate, we see the Excel Award wins as signs that SHRM Media is moving in the right direction.”
The Excel Awards honor the best publishing products of the association industry. The program judges over 1,200 association publications, including magazines, newsletters, scholarly journals, electronic publications and web sites in the areas of editorial quality, design, general excellence, most improved and many more.
The awards will be presented on June 4 at the 29th annual EXCEL Awards Gala in Washington, D.C.’s Capital Hilton.
