Strategy Conference to Help HR Professionals Create Pathways to Success

Alexandria, Va., Aug. 26, 2010 – Top human resource professionals from across the country will gather Oct. 6-8 in San Antonio for the 2010 Strategy Conference hosted by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

With educational sessions and top-name speakers on strategic thinking and best business practices, SHRM’s “Discovering the New Workforce Frontier” Strategy Conference will attract about 500 HR executives.

Concurrent sessions will explore topics including innovative thinking, businesses’ use of social media, strategic planning, organizational change and generational demographics. Visit SHRM’s website for a full list of sessions.

Presentations by four keynote speakers will highlight the conference. Speaking about managing talent, the role that HR should play in business strategy and other topics critical to today’s organizations will be:

  • Sir Ken Robinson, an internationally recognized leader in the development of creativity, innovation and human resources.
  • Rich Horwath, founder and president of the Strategic Thinking Institute.
  • Anne Mulcahy, former chairwoman and CEO of Xerox andchair of the board of trustees for Save the Children.
  • Jason Jennings, founder of the consulting firm Jennings-McGlothlin & Company who has studied 100,000 of the most profitable companies in the world.

In anticipation of the conference, SHRM will release the results of a national survey on the post-recession workplace, which asked organizations about anticipated hiring and investment in resources.
