SHRM Strategy and Foundation Thought Leaders Events are Oct 4-7 in ChicagoExecutives to share strategic thinking on hiring, corporate culture and managing business risk
Alexandria, Va., Sept. 13, 2011 — The Society for Human Resource Management and the SHRM Foundation will host two October events that will give HR executives and other business leaders opportunities to share information on strategy, innovation and organizational culture.
WHAT: SHRM Foundation Thought Leaders Retreat, Oct. 4-5; and SHRM Strategy Conference, Oct. 5-7.
WHERE: The Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park, 200 North Columbus Drive, Chicago, Ill., 60601. The Embassy Room will serve as a pressroom from Oct. 5-7.
Special press availability: At 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, in the Embassy Room of the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park, Mark Schmit, director of SHRM research, will provide highlights from the 2011 Job Satisfaction Survey. The full survey will be released later in October.
Interview opportunities: Many speakers are available for interviews, including the winner of the Michael R. Losey Human Resource Research Award, a $50,000 prize given annually to further the field of human resource management. The winner will be named Oct. 5.
