“Veterans’ preference legislation like that embodied in AB 1383 has been a key focus of SHRM members on the state level since Washington SHRM and Arkansas SHRM led the way in their states advocating for this legislation back in 2011 and 2013,” said Jason Gabhart, SHRM California state government affairs advisor. “For years, SHRM has worked closely with the Obama administration and numerous veteran organizations to enhance employment opportunities for our veterans, and it will continue to do so in the future.”
