Details: The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), which is committed to recruiting and retaining veterans in the civilian workplace, will bring together experts to educate HR professionals on strategies to assist employers and support military families.
F. Dawn Halfaker, retired captain and CEO of Halfaker Associates in Arlington, Va., will be the keynote speaker. She commanded a military police platoon in Iraq and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star after being wounded during a combat patrol near Baghdad in 2004.
