Susan M. Podlogar, Director


Susan M. Podlogar is WW Vice President, Compensation Resources and Performance for Johnson & Johnson Corporate Headquarters.  In this position Susan is responsible for leading the development and execution of the worldwide compensation and performance strategies and measures for Johnson & Johnson and is a member of Johnson & Johnson Human Resources Leadership Team.  She is also accountable for the Credo survey, measures and education within Johnson & Johnson.  Susan brings to this position 20 years of diversified Human Resources experience. Her background includes compensation consulting to businesses in various industries, as well as a depth of internal company Human Resources experience.  Within Johnson & Johnson, she has worked in Corporate Compensation, Corporate Human Resources, Pharmaceuticals, and Device sectors.   In each of these positions, Susan defines and executes strategies to further build organizational capability, alignment and employee engagement.

Most recently she served as Vice President, Human Resources Cordis Franchise, and prior to that Vice President, Human Resources for the Pharmaceutical Research & Development CNS/IM Franchise.  She was a member of the global franchise board in both positions.   Prior to this role Susan held positions of increasing responsibility at J&J PRD, LLC.  She couples these sector and board experiences with her previous responsibilities in Human Resources at Bayer Pharmaceuticals, and Bristol Myers Squibb.  Susan was also fortunate to gain valuable insight to other industries as she worked as a consultant with William M. Mercer, a Global Human Resources Consulting Firm, consulting to clients in the manufacturing, healthcare, non-profit, and service sectors. 

Susan continually connects the business strategy with the human resources strategy to fundamentally drive value in the organization.  

Susan graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside with majors in Labor and Industrial Relations as well as Business Management.  She earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of South Florida, graduating magna cum laude, concentrating her advanced studies in Management and Finance.
