Richard Vosburgh

Richard Vosburgh, Ph.D., is the founder and president of RMV Solutions LLC, which provides organizational effectiveness consulting services to help individuals and organizations maximize the impact of their talent.

Dr. Vosburgh has more than 30 years of post-Ph.D. experience in many highly respected organizations. He was the senior vice president of HR and chief HR officer at KEMET Electronics Corporation, a global capacitor organization with about $1 billion in sales and 10,000 employees.

He also has worked at Mirage Resorts as the senior vice president for HR. Previously, he held several vice president of HR positions, including for Compaq and Hewlett-Packard, Campbell Soup Company, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts and Mervyn’s department stores. He also worked for PepsiCo in its two fastest-growing divisions: Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.

After serving four years on the board of directors of HR People & Strategy (HRPS) and five years as the volunteer executive editor for the quarterly HR People & Strategy Journal, he currently serves as chairman of the HRPS board.

He has authored numerous journal articles, including the 2007 award winning article, “The Evolution of HR: Developing HR as an Internal Consulting Organization.” He is the author of Career Development for Engineers and Scientists. He also co-edited the book, Point Counterpoint: New Perspectives on People and Strategy (2012).

Dr. Vosburgh holds a doctorate in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of South Florida.
