International students may join SHRM as a student member, provideded they meet all eligibility requirements. International members are entitled to the same member benefits as US students. However, international members may not join student chapters.Technically, there are no student chapter located outside of the US. Student Chapters, sponsored by SHRM, are only permitted to form in the U.S.
However, students living
outside of the US, interested in receiving recognition for their on-campus “HR
club,” promoting/participating in HR-related projects and activities do have
the option to form a SHRM Forum. SHRM Forums are coordinated through the SHRM
Global Business Development Department.
