What’s my user name and password? 

  • Username: The e-mail address you used to sign-up with will serve as your username and member ID. 
  • Password: If you haven't set up a password, please click on the sign-in link at the top of the screen and click on the Need Help Signing In? link.


How do I change my password? 

Log in to the site. Click on the "Manage Profile” link on the right toolbar. Click "Edit Bio” and update under "Account Information."

When does my membership expire?

Your SHRM Executive membership runs on an anniversary cycle. If you become a member on February 1, your membership will expire on January 31.


How do I join the SHRM Executive Network?

Become an Executive member to gain access to a wealth of knowledge, ideas and proven best practices from many of the top thought leaders and practitioners in the HR profession.

What is the SHRM Executive Network?

SHRM’s Executive Network reflects our place in the larger SHRM landscape and our commitment to serving HR executives and their organizations.  Our goal is to meet the needs and challenges executive HR professionals face, especially given today’s complex employment and workplace landscape. It also empowers SHRM to further its mission of delivering HR innovation and best practices from the top of organizations.

If I'm a senior-level HR professional, do I have to join SHRM as an Executive Network-level member?

No, you aren't required to, but it is recommended in order to take advantage of our benefits that are tailored towards executive-level HR leaders. 

What is the membership criteria to join the SHRM Executive Network?

The SHRM Executive Network welcomes new members with experience in the following categories:

  • A formal leader within an organization with responsibility for a strategic function. This generally includes experience as a CHRO; the functional head of organization development, learning or talent management, etc.; or a divisional or regional vice president.
  • In addition to the criteria for membership described above, potential members should have 10-15 years of progressive HR and/or leadership experience or possess an advanced degree in the field or in business/management.

Will senior-level HR professionals automatically become Executive-Network SHRM members now?

No, only if you meet the criteria and opt to join at the Executive Network-level of membership with SHRM.

Member Profile and Directory


How do I update my profile?

Log in to the site. Click on the "Manage Profile” link to update your contact information, change your privacy settings, manage your communications preferences and edit your bio.

How do I access the member directory?

Log in to the site. Hover over the "Member tab” on the navigation bar. Click on "Overview.” Click on "Online Community.” Click on "Join the Conversation.”You may search based on name, title, company, stat, industry and more.


Event Registration (Online and In-person)

How do I register for an upcoming event? 

Click on the Executive Events tab on the navigation bar. Click on "event name or webinar,” and follow the registration steps. Remember to log-in if you are a member to receive member rates. 

We encourage everyone to register for events online. You will be required to complete a registration form and pay with a credit card. You may also mail your check payments to:

When do I receive an event registration confirmation?

An email with information on how to obtain the dial-in information and web log-in will be sent after you complete your registration and one day prior to the live event.

When will I receive the first print issue of People + Strategy Journal?


  1. Members and subscribers: Copies of the print journal are created by quarter starting in January, April, July and October. If you join after one of the months listed, you will receive the following quarter’s edition of the People + Strategy Journal.
