The Future of Belonging
Begins Where DE&I Ends.

Belonging at work is defined as being wholly accepted for who you are and what you offer. Research shows that the need to belong at work is second only to the need to belong at home. Traditional DE&I training doesn’t address this prerequisite in the workplace or in society. As a result, many workers feel isolated and marginalized. That robs workers and companies of growth opportunities and leads to increased employee turnover and decreased levels of production.

To combat this problem and create workplaces and a society where everyone feels that they truly belong, you are invited to participate in Visionaries Summit: The Future of Belonging- an invitation-only leadership opportunity brought to you by the SHRM Executive Network and The Aspen Institute.

A Proud Partnership Between SHRM Executive Network, The Aspen Institute and Leaders Like You.

The work of creating workplaces where everyone belongs starts at the top. That’s why SHRM Executive Network and The Aspen Institute, two organizations devoted to creating equity for all, have created this inaugural summit. As an esteemed leader in business and human resources, please join us to lend your expertise and vision to shape the discourse around this seminal issue and to create workplaces that work for all.

The Summit will kick-off with a transformational joint statement on belonging and a call to action for CEOs and CHROs to unite in change from Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., SHRM-SCP, President and CEO, SHRM and Dan Porterfield, CEO, The Aspen Institute.

Three Days.
Six Focal Points.

The summit will focus on leadership approaches impacting belonging in six critical areas: education, workplace, economics, philanthropy, governance and culture. You and business leaders from across the country will share perspectives, and stimulate innovative ideas and strategies to expand thinking on how organizations and society can foster a greater sense of inclusivity and belonging in each key sector of society.
