SHARING CECILIA'S STORY ON VETERANS DAY
We know that HR professionals are on the front line of hiring and retention. And we know that empowered HR professionals are the key to building inclusive organizations, especially for military veterans.
That's why the SHRM Foundation is focused on providing solutions and scholarships to help HR professionals build inclusive organizations. In early 2017, the Foundation launched a new initiative to make a measurable impact on the hiring and retention of military veterans. This year, the Foundation award more than 20 scholarships to veterans and those dedicated to veteran hiring; hosted a day-long summit to advance the discussion of veteran hiring and retention with corporate, non-profit, and government thought leaders; and began creating projects and programs to be rolled out in 2018.
We are proud to honor veterans, especially on Veterans Day.
At the conference and during the SHRM Foundation's annual luncheon, Cici shared her personal story her experience in the military, the person who help her become a leader, and how HR professionals can make an impact on the hiring and retention of military veterans.
