Sage Software Inc. has announced the availability of its new human resource management system, Sage Accpac HRMS. The software package is designed specifically for small and mid-size businesses and includes HR management, attendance and training modules that meet the benefits administration, information tracking, reporting, and legislative compliance needs of companies based in the United States and Canada. Sage Accpac HRMS also features a complete integration with Sage Payroll Services for U.S. companies and an optional link for integration to ADP Canadian payroll services.Contact:
Compensation And Benefits
Paylocity Inc. has launched the new online payroll tool WebPay. The software is designed to streamline any organization’s payroll function through the use of a completely integrated human resource module. Employers can use WebPay for tracking benefits and performance reviews, and it includes a database for employee biographies and photos. WebPay is also designed to calculate the value of fringe benefits. WebPay also supports the automated file-transfer capabilities that Paylocity has developed with many benefits and administrative service providers. After employers select a retirement plan vendor, Paylocity then automatically transfers necessary data to the provider.
Health and Safety
DMM Wellness Solutions has announced that Enjoy OfficeWork, a new interactive wellness software program, is now available. The software allows employees to customize their own exercise and wellness training schedule and choose their favorite trainers. Once employees set their training schedules, the personal trainer will automatically appear on employees’ computer screens and direct them through a selected regimen of exercises. All exercises are easy and can be performed right at the employee’s desk. If the trainer appears at an inconvenient time, then a click on the escape button frees up the computer screen and allows employees to continue with their work. The program is designed to motivate office workers to integrate exercise into their daily routines and improve their health and fitness.
The Principal Financial Group has launched two additions to its growing list of online tools designed to help consumers make better health care decisions. The first new tool, Coverage Advisor, offers employers and plan sponsors a new way to help participants in health care plans better understand their health care needs and get accurate estimates of costs for health care services. The other new module, Physician Selection Advisor, provides detailed information to help plan participants select providers that best fit their health care needs.
Halogen Software Inc. has announced the release of Halogen Employee Performance Management Suite 8.0. The new software includes numerous upgrades such as Halogen eSuccession, a powerful succession-planning tool based on a best-practices approach and an employer’s available talent pool. Halogen eSuccession is designed to help users launch succession plans quickly without complex or excessive overhead costs. This new employee performance management tool also features Halogen’s popular and newly enhanced eCompensation and eAppraisal modules.
Root Learning Inc. has partnered with Employee Motivation & Performance Assessment Inc. to create the Strategic Engagement Index (SEI), a survey tool designed to help businesses measure their employees’ commitment to organizational strategy. SEI differs from most survey programs by focusing on employee behaviors that drive strategy, rather than using an opinion-based approach that measures employee satisfaction. SEI measures motivation, commitment and engagement, which can relate directly to strategic goals. The new survey tool then assesses the strengths and weaknesses of executives, managers or individual contributors to provide an accurate and up-to-date analysis of the level of commitment within an organization.
To help defined contribution plan sponsors manage their fiduciary obligations, AXA Equitable has launched a new fiduciary toolkit. This new toolkit is available with AXA Equitable Retirement Strategies 401(k) plans for smaller to mid-size businesses. The fiduciary toolkit is designed to help plan sponsors avoid common mistakes such as not documenting fiduciary decisions, not maintaining the support documentation for plan administration, faulty monitoring and not gathering all the facts necessary to make the best business decisions. The fiduciary toolkit and its companion CD-ROM can help plan sponsors make key decisions such as naming a fiduciary, selecting plan providers and educating plan participants.
BrightMove version 2.4 was developed especially for HR professionals who are looking for an applicant tracking system that will simplify compliance with the new affirmative action guidelines of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). The OFCCP has implemented new rules for companies that do business with the federal government that require the tracking and reporting of race, gender and ethnicity of “Internet applicants.” This newest version of BrightMove automatically follows the new OFCCP tracking procedures for businesses that maintain contracts with the federal government, and it gives users more flexibility and control over their applicant tracking systems.
Cytiva Software Inc. has announced a new set of upgrades and enhancements for its popular staffing software, SonicRecruit. The upgrades include improved ways to measure an organization’s recruiting function and receive an accurate picture of how the organization is performing in key areas such as candidate sourcing, hiring performance and applicant tracking. Kenexa Inc. has announced the release of version 9.0 of the Kenexa Recruiter BrassRing applicant tracking system. The newest version of this web-based recruiting tool is designed to support the recruiting and staffing function of large multinational organizations with more than 10,000 employees. The software includes options such as operating in multiple languages and the ability to localize recruiting efforts anywhere on the globe. The new release is immediately available to all Kenexa clients. The software also allows users to configure and roll out any new software upgrades and enhancements according to their own schedules.
Deploy Solutions has developed a new talent management tool called Deploy Offboarding, which is designed to help employers close the loop on the talent management functions of employee hiring, orientation, performance management and employment termination. When linked together, all these functions will provide employers with complete employment histories for their workers. Deploy Offboarding collects and analyzes employment termination data, which can then be combined easily with screening, hiring and performance management data to ensure that future hires are better-suited for specific positions within an organization. The software also can provide employers with a reliable and centralized platform for processing and storing all termination-related data, including reasons for separation and dates of employment.
Training And Development
Symantec Corp. has launched the Symantec Security Awareness Center, a subscription-based online training service designed to help companies meet the regulatory requirements for employee security awareness training. The new online service can help companies create a more security-conscious workforce by training employees about the security risks related to their work behavior and use of the corporate information systems. Symantec Security Awareness Center offers training programs with narrative demonstrations and interactive games that can test users on a variety of security-related topics. Users of this flexible training tool will have access to the educational sessions any time through their web browsers.
