TotalRewards Software Inc. has released TotalCompBuilder.com, a new web-based software package for employers. The new tool is designed to produce full-color and high-impact compensation statements in both print and online formats. All that employers need to start using TotalCompBuilder is an Internet connection and web browser—no software is needed for installation or to download software updates. The TotalCompBuilder suite of products
features a variety of editions to fit the needs of employers of all sizes, including an agency edition that is specifically designed for insurance brokers, consultants and third-party administrators.
Lighthouse1 and HealthcareBank have joined to create a new health savings account (HSA) product for employers and third-party administrators. By using a single customer login, benefits administrators and employers now have a central web site to download educational materials and to manage their HSAs, health reimbursement arrangements and flexible spending accounts. This new web-based service also
features easy online enrollment and a paperless administrative function.

Verizon Business Data Center Services is supporting the rollout of new web-based human resource management software
designed to help businesses perform payroll, performance reviews and benefits administration. NOW Solutions Inc. has developed the new package called emPath. Employers will have access to the software through Verizon business services. The software is hosted by the vendor, not the client or end user, and delivered online to help control setup and operational costs. The emPath human resource management system can help minimize the strain on an organization’s internal information resources and infrastructure.
DLA Piper has launched a new web-based resource for lawyers and HR professionals called uKNOW that
offers users access to a wide array of legal and business practice information. The site gives users advice for conducting business around the world by using DLA Piper’s global expertise in employment and labor law. This new online service also offers users worldwide business-related news and legal updates.
LawDepot.com has launched an online employee evaluation form designed to make the process of evaluating employee performance quick and easy. The new online form
offers employers a standard and workable evaluation form for their entire organization. The evaluation tool can be customized easily for any employer and can even be designed to address the specific needs of departments. The form provides optional numerical scoring, an optional improvement plan and the option to personalize the evaluation with specific comments for every employee.Contact:
SymetraFinancial and Mesirow Financial have created a new partnership to offer smaller businesses more choice and flexibility for employer-sponsored 401(k) plans. The partnership will expand the number of mutual funds available through Symetra’s defined contribution plans and is
designed to provide small businesses cost-effective access to retirement plans that are typically available only to larger corporations. The Symetra program will also provide co-fiduciary services at no cost for plans using Mesirow Financial funds, which will help plan sponsors better manage their fiduciary risk exposure.
Advanced Personnel Systems Inc. has announced the release of SmartSearch Online, version 10.1, a web-based applicant-screening tool
that can help employers identify and resolve potential compliance issues with government regulations. The software also features improved ad hoc reporting capabilities for better access to key hiring and recruiting data. A newly enhanced screening function allows users to prioritize items and focus on specific work skills in a questionnaire format. The system then computes weighted scores for candidates based on their answers.
The software company iCIMS Inc. has released iRecruiterPro, a web-based applicant-tracking tool that is targeted specifically for smaller businesses (25 to 500 employees). The new software and online service is
designed to completely streamline the hiring process and help small businesses manage their entire recruitment process, including online applications, requisition management and accuracy in hiring reports.
Wonderlic Inc. has developed and released a new update of its well-known intelligence and personality test for job applicants. The new version of the Wonderlic Personnel Test was developed through years of research and thousands of field tests administered to job applicants. Employers were involved in every step of the updating process; the new test version went through five separate rounds of field testing with 427 companies and 36,543 test-takers. The resulting new forms of the Wonderlic test
are designed to make the test an even more accurate predictor of an applicant’s ability to perform the job well.
People Business Network Inc. has launched a new online talent management tool, Workforce Monitor. This new software
is one of the first on-demand analysis and monitoring tools that focuses exclusively on helping HR departments tackle real workplace issues. Some of the HR-related issues that Workforce Monitor specifically focuses on include employee attrition, diversity management, salary and performance reviews, retirement planning, and hiring analyses. The Workforce Monitor also features sophisticated reporting functions such as the ability to share frameworks with colleagues and to create context-based talent management reports.
