Feb. 14, 2013, is the deadline for employers to apply for the 2013 Work Life Legacy Military Award. The award from the Families and Work Institute (FWI) honors organizations for their efforts in hiring and supporting men and women in the military as they and their families transition to civilian life.
Employers interested in applying for the awardcan take part in an hour-long question-and-answer session via conference call at 11:30 a.m. (ET) Jan. 24, 2013. Register for the conference call by sending an e-mail to EllenGalinskyWLLA@familiesandwork.org.
The awards will be presented June 3 at the 2013 Work Life Legacy Award dinner in New York City, marking the 10th year for the awards.

A conference call with FWI staff that addresses best practices in hiring and supporting former military personnel is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Jan. 11, 2013. Representatives from some of the 2012 winning companies also will participate in the conference call.
