SHRM Announces Two Keynoters for 2011 Annual Conference

SAN DIEGO—Just as the SHRM Annual Conference held here wrapped up, the 63rd Annual Conference in Las Vegas was beginning to take shape. During the closing general session on June 30, 2010, Jose Berrios, chair designate for the SHRM Board of Directors, announced that Sir Richard Branson and Michael J. Fox would be featured as keynote speakers in Las Vegas. The conference dates will be June 26-29, 2011.

Branson is the founder of the Virgin Group, and one of the most dynamic and well-known business leaders in the world. As one of the world’s richest men, Branson is known for his unique and flamboyant style and his adventurous spirit.

Fox is a Canadian-born actor and voice-over artist who starred in hit television series such as “Family Ties” and “Spin City” as well as the hit movie trilogy “Back to the Future.”In 1991, Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and disclosed his condition to the public in 1998. Since founding the Michael J. Fox Foundation, he has become one of the world’s leading advocates for research in finding a cure for the debilitating disease.
