SHRM/ACT: Job Analysis Activities

This survey, conducted in collaboration with ACT, explores various aspects of job analysis, or the processes that occur to examine the activities of a particular job or role within an organization. The survey results indicate that a typical job analysis collects information such as knowledge (reported by 96% of respondents), skills (95%), abilities (92%) and task statements (90%). Interviews (50%), observations (33%) and structured questionnaires (27%) are the leading methods to conduct job analysis, according to the survey.
