The Aging Workforce―Recruitment and Retention
Page Content
Part two of the Older Workers Survey findings provides information on such topics as changes in retention, recruiting and general management policy practices in response to the aging workforce, the level of difficulty in recruiting and retaining older workers and factors that contribute to these difficulties, as well as capitalizing on and incorporating the experience of older workers and former retirees returning to the workforce.
Survey results indicate that more than three-fifths (61%) of responding organizations had attempted to capitalize on and incorporate the experience of older workers to “some extent” or a “great extent.” Two-thirds (66%) of responding organizations reported that their organization employed older workers who retired from other organizations or careers before joining their organization.
