Original Program Date: January 2018 (available for on-demand viewing through April 2019)

Program length: 60 minutes

Over the past three years there have been more than 100 mandatory state posting changes and two mandatory federal changes. How do you know if your posters are up-to-date? In this webcast, Terri Dougherty of J.J. Keller & Associates looks at recent posting updates, changes that are on the way, and what can happen if you’re not in compliance. In addition, she will answer your employment law poster questions, including:

  • Posting basics: Why do I need posters? Which posters are required? What do the regulations say? What are the requirements on the federal, state, and local level? How frequently are posters updated? What’s the difference between a mandatory and minor change? What happens if I’m out of compliance?
  • Trends: More state and local changes, less federal action, minimum wage changes, paid sick leave, anti-discrimination protections, and anti-sexual harassment requirements.
  • Changes: What changed in 2018? What’s new beginning January 2019? What else is on the way for the coming year?
