Every day, decisions are made in the workplace -- including hiring, development, pay, promotion, terminations, assigning projects, constructing teams and creating business strategy. Whether we recognize it or not, implicit bias enters into every decision-maker’s choices. HR, diversity professionals, and other leaders have responsibility to ensure that their biases don’t negatively impact employment-related decisions. But how can one do that when many people don't even realize they have biases and that they are affecting decisions.

In this program, global workforce expert and author Shirley Davis talks about common biases we all have, how they play out in the workplace, and how they impact individual and organizational behavior including talent acquisition, communication, decision-making, talent management, and productivity. She will provide strategies for how HR, diversity professionals, and other leaders can help to minimize the effects of bias in their policies, practices, and workplace culture.
