Employees thrive on context. They want to feel like they’re a part of something bigger, and that their work contributes meaningfully to business outcomes. Open communication and data access to this critical information are foundational to workplace transparency. When employees trust management and believe in the future of the company, they are more likely to be highly engaged, increasing company profitability by 21 percent according to a Gallup study.

In this program, panelists will discuss how to build and sustain transparent workplaces. You’ll learn how to:
  • Identify the data your team needs to thrive
  • Create space for transparent conversations
  • Leverage data for strategic planning

About the presenters:

Ian White
is the founder and CEO/CTO of ChartHop. Previously, he was the Founder and CTO of Sailthru, the marketing cloud delivering billions of personalized newsletter emails per month for top publishers and e-commerce brands. White was also the first head of engineering at Business Insider and built the publishing platform that powers today’s highest-trafficked business website. Through this, he felt the pains of planning and building a team -- and wanted to build something better than the spreadsheets and legacy HR systems struggled with. ChartHop was born to help organizations better plan with alignment and transparency.

Maria Barrera is head of Marketing at ChartHop. Previously she was on the operations side at a fast growing company and deeply understands the pain points that companies experience as they scale and manage change. Barrera is passionate about empowering leaders with the data and tools they need to enact real change. As a mechanical engineer at heart, she is excited to help leaders build better companies.

John Renfro has spent his 39-year career driving the people dimension of business strategy. He is the former SVP and CHRO at the Capital Group where he led the company’s global human resources organization and was responsible for driving its global human capital strategy. Prior to Capital Group, Renfro was the executive vice president and CHRO at AECOM, vice president of human resources for Hewlett-Packard Company, and the senior vice president and CHRO at The Walt Disney Company and at Gateway Computers.

Beth Clutterbuck is the CHRO of Relativity. She joined the team in in 2020, with more than 20 years of human resources experience across four countries and five sectors (financial services, biotechnology, manufacturing, media, and technology). In her former roles at Cloudreach and Deliveroo, Clutterbuck oversaw the building of the global people strategy and underpinning scaffolding to drive the rapid scaling of these high growth technology firms.
