Let’s face it: employees are hesitant to choose an HSA-eligible health plan over a traditional health plan. Chalk it up to confusion, lack of information or simply inertia. But once those initial barriers are broken, employees come to appreciate the benefits a health plan with an HSA can provide and are ultimately satisfied with their choice. In this program, Fidelity Investments' Jeff Munn, Eric Dowley and Lee Belniak will explore how employers can break through common employee barriers with a journey of simple, personalized next steps that start at initial awareness of HSA-eligible plans and HSAs, to prudently using their HSA for immediate and long-term needs.
About the Presenters: Jeff Munn is vice president of Fidelity Investments Benefit Policy Development. He brings a wealth of experience with 25 years in the employee benefits industry, with the past four at Fidelity. He plays a leading role in refining Fidelity’s perspective on the convergence of health care and retirement benefits in employer plan design and employee decision making.
Eric Dowley is senior vice president of Fidelity Investments HSA Product Management. He currently leads Fidelity’s HSA product management group where he is responsible for the development of the product portfolio. Dowley is a frequent speaker on the value of health savings accounts and has been interviewed by the
New York Times, CNBC,
Money magazine, and other leading periodicals.
Lee Belniak is vice president of Fidelity Investments guidance and participant experience. She has 20 years of experience in the employee benefits industry as a consultant, plan sponsor and now with Fidelity’s Workplace Investing business is focused on building new guidance experiences that help participants make better, personalized, and more informed decisions. Belniak is specifically focused on the intersection of health care and financial wellbeing, including saving for retirement.
