A recent study conducted by PayScale found that employees’ perceptions of how they are paid are a better predictor of their intent to stay than their actual fair pay to the market. This underscores the importance for employers of getting it right when it comes to communicating pay effectively. Too often, conversations about pay are often perceived as scary, demoralizing, or just boring. However, done right, pay talk can be motivating and critical in your efforts to retain and develop your best talent.

In this program, Rusty Lindquist from BambooHR and Mykkah Herner from PayScale will review:

  • Why talking about pay with employees is so important
  • How you can train your managers to have useful compensation conversations
  • Situations you can expect to encounter when it’s time to talk pay -- and how to handle them successfully.
