Although the federal government's pay equity initiatives have been scaled back, many states have passed or are considering equal pay statutes. There are also moves afoot to limit information employers can ask applicants about their salary history, in an attempt to break out of the pay inequities of the past. In this program, Soña Ramirez and Stephanie Gaston from the law firm Clark Hill will review current and pending pay protection laws nationally and in the states. They will provide guidance on how to review and craft pay practices that lessen the risk of employee lawsuits or government audits.
