Talent acquisition professionals are under enormous pressure to fill open positions as quickly as possible. Those responsible for screening candidates state that the number one challenge is the length of time in getting background screening results (NAPBS and HR Research Institute, Background Screening Study, 2019).

While hiring fast is imperative to keeping the business moving forward, HR must also be thorough and accurate in screening candidates to ensure quality hires, and to keep workplaces safe. Staying compliant in light of ever-changing laws is necessary to reduce risk to the organization. In this webcast, Pamela Devata, employment attorney and partner at Seyfarth Shaw, will address how hiring organizations can stay above the curve by choosing quality background check packages and processes.

Key takeaways:

  • The top things you should do right now to achieve better turnaround times, without compromising a thorough and compliant background screen
  • The most common mistakes that lead to higher turnaround times; a less thorough background screen; and a non-compliant background screen
  • How do you know if your background screening provider is cutting corners
  • What to ask a background screening provider to ensure they can deliver on fast turnaround times, while providing thorough and compliant background screen services
