Creating the Learner Experience

It is a way of learning

Presenter: Tom Tonkin, Principal, Thought Leadership & Advisory Services, Cornerstone OnDemand

Original program date: October 2017 (this program is no longer available)

Program length: 60 minutes

With so many assets available to corporate learners, the expectations of the traditional learning management system (LMS) have evolved. The current learning landscape is as dynamic as the Internet itself. Arguably, the LMS is turning into the LMX and needs to support the shift from “instructional design” to “experience design.”

In this session, Tom Tonkin, a principal consultant in Cornerstone OnDemand's thought leadership and advisory services team, will address several emerging learning trends through examining how companies are tackling the new learning discipline. You will learn how to:

  • Diagnose your current learning strategy.
  • Identify gaps and intersect those learning gaps with solutions that support the learner's experience.
  • Describe how content and the community play new roles in the learning platform era enacting the learners' experience.
Success stories, lessons learned and other available resources will be shared to bolster your organization's learning and development strategies.
