According to research from the Global Financial Literacy Excellence Center, there is an acute need for employers to invest in employee financial health. This is even more true given the current economic crisis and pandemic. Employees reporting to work while feeling anxiety and stress due to their financial insecurity has implications for not only the employee’s well-being, but it also affects the workplace. A number of studies confirm that employees lose hours of productivity each week thinking about or dealing with their personal finances. That's why employers have started taking the important step of offering workplace financial wellness programs. In this program, Andrea Hasler of Global Financial Literacy Excellence Center at the George Washington University will discuss methods for engaging employees and measuring the effectiveness of your financial literacy efforts. The program will highlight best practices in the workplace financial wellness space and discuss the critical elements in creating an effective and holistic program, including:

  • Financial check-ups
  • Personalization
  • Creating a simple, integrated approach
