Heather Barker, SHRM-CP
Director, Human Resources, TGS

Heather Barker is a Human Resources Professional with over 15 years of experience specializing in mid-size to large organizations providing guidance and leadership to senior managers in startup and established organizations. Her broad experience includes change management, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, leadership and learning & development.  Her career experience spans various industries including oil & gas, financial, logistics, pharmaceutical research and food services. 

Heather is currently the Director of Human Resources for TGS, a global organization that provides multi-client geoscience data to oil and gas exploration and production companies worldwide. In her role she supports a fast-paced organization, linking people strategies to business strategies and is responsible for leading and implementing company-wide web-based performance review system, creating and delivering learning & developing strategies to senior leaders.

Prior to joining TGS, Heather held human resources leadership positions for NEXT Financial Group, Noble Logistics Inc., and Sysco Corporation.

Heather earned her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Houston and is a national member of the Society of Human Resource Management, World at Work and CEB. She holds an SHRM-CP certification in human resources through SHRM and is a certified facilitator through DDI.

Nicole Belyna, SHRM-SCP
Manager, Recruitment and Recruitment Strategy, Thompson Creek Window Company

Nicole Belyna is a human resource professional with a passion for talent acquisition. For over ten years, she has served as a business partner specializing in recruitment strategy, employer branding, and recruiting and retention operations in the fashion/beauty retail, hospitality, and manufacturing industries. Currently, Nicole is the manager, recruiting and recruiting strategy for Thompson Creek Window Company. Additionally, she is serving her second term as president for the District of Columbia Society for Human Resources (DC SHRM). Prior to serving as president, Nicole served as president-elect, membership director, and program and professional development chair. Nicole has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Russell Sage College in Troy NY and is an SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).

Jeremy Eskenazi, SHRM-SCP
Managing Principal, Riviera Advisors, Inc.

Jeremy is Managing Principal of Riviera Advisors, Inc., a global Human Resources management consulting firm that helps organizations improve and enhance their internal talent acquisition and staffing capabilities. For almost two decades, Jeremy and his team have partnered with organizational Talent and HR leaders to create strategies and tactics to make their recruiting, staffing, and talent acquisition processes, systems, and organizations more effective to achieve business results.

Prior to founding Riviera Advisors in 2001, Jeremy spent almost 20 years leading talent acquisition and staffing teams at Universal Studios, Amazon.com, and Idealab. In addition to SHRM, Jeremy is a professional member of the National Speakers Association (NSA) and the Institute of Management Consultants-USA. Jeremy served two terms on the SHRM Staffing Management special expertise panel in the 1990’s and on the recent Workforce Planning Standards Workgroup. Jeremy is certified as an SHRM-Senior Certified Professional, and as a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) from the Institute of Management Consultants.

A highly-sought-out speaker on the value of the corporate staffing function, Jeremy speaks to many audiences at conference, seminars, and organizational meetings. Jeremy is the author of the book, “RecruitCONSULT! Leadership – The Corporate Talent Acquisition Leader’s Field Book”, (STARoundtable Press, 2011 and second edition, 2018). Jeremy is based in Long Beach, CA.

Paula Harvey, SHRM-SCP
VP of Human Resources & Safety, Schulte Building Systems

Paula H. Harvey, MBA, SHRM-SCP, is the VP of Human Resources & Safety for Schulte Building Systems in Hockley, TX. She has worked in the retail, services, construction and manufacturing industries. Mrs. Harvey has over 30 years’ experience in Human Resources. She earned her Bachelors of Business Administration in International Marketing and Operations Management from the University of Texas at Austin. She has also earned her MBA with a concentration in HR Management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

She is a Senior Certified Professional of Human Resources through SHRM. She is an authorized OSHA 501 trainer and has achieved the Manager of Environmental Safety and Health Programs (MESH) certificate and the Advanced Safety Certification (ASC) from the National Safety Council.

Paula teaches several business and leadership related topics, especially to HR professionals. She is also an internationally recognized speaker on global and strategic business issues. She has published or been quoted in several articles on HR topics and co-authored three books with other HR professionals.
She is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) currently serving on the board of the SHRM Foundation and on the SHRM Talent Acquisition Panel. She has also served as the SE Membership Advisory Council Representative (MAC), NCSHRM President and President of Union County HR Association and Charlotte Area SHRM. She is a member of HR Houston mentoring students on the University Liaison committee. She is a past recipient of NCSHRM HR Professional of the Year and NCSHRM HR Humanitarian of the Year.

Melissa Hennigan, SHRM-CP
VP People, Symplicity Corporation

Mel Hennigan, SHRM-CP, is a human resources leader whose credo is to help organizations achieve business outcomes by connecting the values and objectives of the organization with the strengths and motivators of its people. She is currently working as the head of HR for Symplicity Corporation in the Washington DC area. Mel’s work background includes companies in the private and public sectors, spans government, education and technology industries, and ranges in size from start-up to multi-national. Mel is a participating member, volunteer, and panelist for multiple professional organizations including the Society for Human Resources Management and Women In Technology.

Ashley Inman, SHRM-SCP
Talent Specialist, Ferrovial Services

Ashley Inman’s HR experience covers 15 years in talent management, recruitment, workforce planning, diversity and global mobility. She earned a Bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University, in Provo Utah, and is certified as an SHRM-SCP through SHRM. Ashley is also Korn Ferry certified for Assessment of Leadership Potential (KFALP). Ashley is currently on the Ferrovial Services’ talent management team and serves as the Director of Workshops for Austin’s Association of Talent Development. Previously, she worked for a Fortune 500 division, a sports organization and the University of California.

A highlight in her career was being recognized as a 40 under 40, from the Volusia / Flagler Business Report. Ashley has served on multiple University Employer Advisory Boards, the San Francisco Mayor’s Committee for the Employment of Persons with Disabilities and as a Conference Moderator for Florida’s Association of Colleges and Employers. In 2017, Ashley participated on the Texas Diversity Council’s Veteran Summit speaker panel.

Steven Lindner, Ph.D.
Chief Development Officer, The London Day School
Senior HR and Education Executive, The WorkPlace Group

Dr. Steven Lindner is an Organizational Psychologist and Chief Development Officer with The London Day School, one of the most innovative education academies in the country. He also is a Senior HR Executive and Partner with The WorkPlace Group, a talent acquisition and development consulting firm.

He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Stevens Institute of Technology. Dr. Lindner’s work has appeared in numerous publications including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, NY Daily News, Fast Company, Associated Press, CNBC, Fox Business, USA Today, Inc. Magazine, Money, Workforce Magazine, Talent Management, HR Executive and the Society for Human Resource Management. He has appeared nationally on WABC and WCBS Radio.

Kelly Marinelli, J.D., SHRM-SCP
Founder & Principal Consultant, Solve HR

Kelly Marinelli, J.D., SHRM-SCP, is the founder of and Principal Consultant at Solve HR, Inc. in Boulder, Colorado, and is also an HR Professional Services Consultant serving members of Mountain States Employers Council. She has extensive experience working in HR in multiple industries, including manufacturing and energy, in every type of organization, including Fortune 500 companies, large privately-held international entities, startups, and Colorado nonprofits.

Marinelli has been licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado since 1995, and specializes in federal contractor compliance, employment, and labor regulation and finding the intersection of legal requirements and business success. She blogs on these issues and others at solvewrites.com. Marinelli is an active SHRM member, has held volunteer positions with the Boulder Area Human Resources Association and Colorado SHRM, and pursues her passion for labor and employment policy as an active member of the SHRM A-Team. 

Carol McDaniel
Director, Professional Talent Acquisition, Delta Air Lines

Prior to joining Delta Air Lines, Carol served as the Director of Talent Acquisition at Johns Hopkin's All Children's Hospital, where she oversaw, directed, and managed a team of 10 in the recruitment process for one of the most progressive organizations in the healthcare industry to meet the needs of a demanding pediatric hospital under the Johns Hopkins Health System.

After serving in the United States Air Force for ten years, McDaniel's experience in the Talent Acquisition Industry began in Olsten Staffing, Lucent Technologies as a corporate recruiter, and she worked for Bernard Hodes Group for 12 years working with organizations to put strategies in place. Her background combines extensive Human Resource consulting, recruiting, marketing and advertising expertise. With her strong understanding of the many challenges in today's competitive labor market environment, she is considered a subject matter expert in the employer marketing and branding process. This expertise has proved to play a crucial role in the development of talent management and acquisition strategies. Carol is a frequent speaker at HR and SHRM events, national programs, and training seminars to focus on the areas of talent acquisition and talent communications.

McDaniel is the Immediate Past President of the HR Florida State Council and serves on the Pasco County Economic Development Council.

Kim Ruyle, Ph.D.
President, Inventive Talent Consulting

Kim Ruyle is President of Inventive Talent Consulting, a Florida-based firm that provides strategic talent management and organizational development consulting for leading global organizations. He is an Associate in Korn Ferry’s Global Network. Kim has thirty years of experience in human resources, organizational development, and general management. Kim has presented at more than 100 national and international conferences, published dozens of articles and book chapters, served on numerous expert panels and editorial boards, and authored or co-authored five books on talent management and leadership development. Kim’s academic credentials include three master’s degrees and a Ph.D. and an Executive Certificate in Applied NeuroLeadership from the NeuroLeadership Institute and Pepperdine University. Kim’s latest book, Lessons from a CEO’s Journal, was published in 2014.

Dan Ryan, SHRM-SCP
Principal, Ryan Search & Consulting

In his role as Principal at Ryan Search & Consulting, Dan Ryan leads the Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and Succession Strategy processes for the firm. Dan helps provide a seamless system of methods that enables clients to look at their talent needs from an internal and external perspective. The primary market segments for the firm include the Engineering, Construction, Architecture, Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Utility worlds.

Ryan Search has worked with multi-national clients with large workforces and has also helped small firms in the emerging economy understand how to best understand, utilize and leverage their existing talent. 

Ryan has earned a M.Ed. from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University, an MBA from Tennessee State University, and a BS in Engineering Physics from Murray State University. He is an adjunct faculty member for Peabody College of Vanderbilt University and has also taught at Belmont University.

Jeremy Tolley, SHRM-SCP
Chief People Officer, CareHere, LLC

Jeremy T. Tolley is an experienced talent executive with a knack for building and supporting organizations during rapid expansion. As Chief People Officer for CareHere, a national leader in onsite, employer-sponsored health care, Tolley leads talent acquisition, human resources, training and organizational development for a widely distributed workforce. Prior to CareHere, he had a 14-year tenure with a successful, fast-growth hospitality company where he served as head of talent, helping that company grow from 300 to over 9,000 employees.

Tolley is an SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and has a bachelor's degree in organizational development from the University of Memphis. He is passionate about company culture, talent management, productivity, and communications.

Shahma Zahid, SHRM-SCP
Head of Human Resources, ICAP

Shahma Zahid is currently working as a Head of Human Resources at Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. Shahma has been in the profession for more than 18 years’. She is an international mobile worker and had exposure of working in three countries namely Canada, United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. She has diversified industry experience and has worked in financial services, manufacturing, construction, not for profit, HR consulting, retail, and education sectors. Her expertise is in talent acquisition, talent management, coaching & mentoring, employee engagement, policy development, cultural sensitivity & adaptability and organizational development. 

Shahma is passionate to give back to HR community and has designed & taught different HR courses for 10 years as visiting faculty at Institute of Business Management. She has also served as a volunteer city lead for SHRM Forum Pakistan.

Shahma holds Masters in Human Resource Management from York University, Canada, and her second Masters in Business Administration from Institute of Business Management, Pakistan. She is SHRM-SCP certified.
