    Over the past decade, HR technology and the push to measure the value HR practices have converged to create a torrent of employment data. There is a growing realization that so much data are being generated HR professionals have become overwhelmed in their efforts to identify meaningful metrics and report them to stakeholders.

    In 2012, as part of its effort to establish standards for use by the HR profession, SHRM created a cost-per-hire standard, which provides employers with an approved methodology for quantifying their recruitment and placement activities. This 90-minute program will explain the elements and provide you with templates that can be used to capture and analyze cost-per-hire numbers in your own organization. The program will also describe how, with numbers in hand, you can best communicate this information to stakeholders in your organization. It will also provide analysis of cost-per-hire trends data generated by SHRM's Workforce Analytics group. An extended Q&A period allows you to ask your questions about the new standard and how to apply it to your workplace.

    About the presenters:
    Andrew Gadomski is the Chief Advisor and Founder of Aspen Advisors. Established in 2006, Aspen provides companies with globally and/or socially responsible values the ability to drive significant change across the talent spectrum by combining business intelligence, process adoption tools, benchmarking, and leadership training. Mr. Gadomski started Aspen Advisors after a diverse and successful career in staffing and branding. In addition to leading transformative efforts at Aspen's clients, he is also on the faculty at New York University on the use of online and social networking tools for career management and advancement.

    Dr. Steven Lindner is Executive Partner of The WorkPlace Group. Under his leadership, The WorkPlace Group® has helped employers hire thousands of job seekers across 44 different countries. In doing so, hundreds of thousands of job seekers have been sourced, screened, assessed, and hired for clients who range from small employers through the Fortune 50. Dr. Lindner’s leadership and management experience extends to several professional and charitable organizations. He is a current member of the Society of Industrial/Organizational Psychology and an Advisory Board Member of Fairleigh Dickinson University’s School of Pharmacy. He has taught a variety of undergraduate, graduate and executive level courses on HR management and has contributed many articles, expert opinions and presentations to industry magazines, journals and professional conferences.

    John Dooney is manager of strategic research for SHRM. Mr. Dooney is responsible for producing quantitative and qualitative research that enables members and other customers to make concrete business decision, evaluate how HR can strategically contribute to an organization’s objectives and develop organizational benchmarks. He develops content material related to HR metrics and analytics. Mr. Dooney has more than 15 years of experience in HR management roles in the United States, Asia and Europe.
