Join us in Las Vegas at the SHRM Annual Conference for the mega session, "Elevate Your Voice & HR: Engaging with Policymakers on Today's Critical Workplace Issues."

SHRM members impact the lives of over 115 million people each day at work. Wielding that influence, they are best suited to be a valuable resource and advocate--not just to SHRM or to our work, but also to policymakers for developing policies that create better workplaces and a better world.

At this session, you will hear directly from policy leaders about commonsense solutions to critical workplace issues and what they need to learn from you to make real change.

We are very excited to have Victoria Lipnic, commissioner with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; Jonathan Berry, acting assistant secretary for policy for the U.S. Department of Labor; and Scott Stump, assistant secretary for the U.S. Department of Education, as our guest speakers. Emily Dickens, J.D., SHRM's Corporate Secretary and Chief of Staff, who oversees SHRM Government Affairs, will moderate the conversation about reaching untapped talent pools, preparing workers for the 21st century economy and elevating your HR voice with policymakers.

The session will take place on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at 1 p.m. and will be worth one professional development credit for SHRM-CPs and SHRM-SCPs. You can add it to your annual conference schedule here. Register today at annual.shrm.org.

Rebecca K. Peters is a director, policy engagement for Government Affairs at SHRM.
