Call for Entries: HR Haiku Contest

Celebrate National Poetry Month in April with a poem instead of a tweet

Feb 3, 2017

To honor the creativity and ingenuity of our readers and in preparation for National Poetry Month in April, SHRM Certification is pleased to announce the inaugural SHRM HR Haiku Contest—we'll call it HRaiku. Think past the 140 characters of a tweet and explore the possibilities in 17 syllables divided into three lines of poetry (five/seven/five). Haikus don't have to rhyme, and usually don't. Each HRaiku poem should touch on some aspect of HR, certification or SHRM. Three winning entries will be published in the April 2017 issue of SHRM Certification Update.

Submit your entries, as many as you like, via e-mail ONLY to no later than March 15, 2017. Please do not submit entries to any other SHRM-related e-mail address. Include your name—or pen name, if you don't want attention—plus your city, state, country and e-mail address (your e-mail address will not be published). Winners will be determined solely by the editors. No monetary gifts or prizes awarded other than a congratulatory e-mail, publication in the April issue and the esteem of your colleagues. Good luck!
