The SHRM Recertification Requirements Handbook is now an online-only publication. Updates will continue to be added to the digital text as soon as they go into effect. The latest information may also be found throughout the pages and tabs of the SHRM Certification website.

This change ensures greater accuracy of information, as new or amended language can be quickly updated online.

SHRM credential-holders won't have to wait for a new print edition of the handbook to get the details on new recertification policies. Some significant policy changes that went into effect Aug. 1 (covering credits earned during the grace period, early completion of recertification and carry-overs) as well as another recent change (regarding credit for participation in SHRM research) already appear in the digital handbook.

In addition, new online formatting will make the handbook easier to read, especially on mobile devices. The single-column format also allows space for notes, should a reader print out a copy of the guide.

These changes support the program's goal to provide more flexibility to SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP credential-holders as it serves HR professionals around the globe.
