Call for Entries: Join the HR Haiku Contest

In April, celebrate National Poetry Month—and the originality of HR professionals

​To honor the creativity and ingenuity of our readers and in preparation for National Poetry Month in April, SHRM Certification is pleased to announce the inaugural SHRM HR Haiku Contest—we'll call it HRaiku.

Think past Twitter's 140 characters and explore the 17 syllables and three lines of a haiku poem (five syllables in the first and third lines, seven syllables in the second line). Haikus usually don't rhyme.

Each HRaiku should touch on some aspect of HR, certification or SHRM. Three winning entries will be published in the April 2017 issue of SHRM Certification Update.

Submit your entries, as many as you like, via e-mail ONLY to no later than March 15, 2017. Please do not submit entries to any other SHRM-related e-mail address. Include your name—or pen name, if you don't want attention—plus your city, state, country and e-mail address (your e-mail address will not be published). Winners will be determined solely by the editors. No monetary gifts or prizes awarded other than a congratulatory e-mail, publication in the April issue of the SHRM Certification Update newsletter and the esteem of your colleagues. Good luck!
