Navigating the business ecosystem; building brave cultures; and developing one's understanding of legal matters, technology, and everyday HR issues are the themes HR professionals will explore at the
SHRM-Atlanta HR Conference, to be held March 27-28 in Atlanta. More than a thousand HR practitioners, industry experts and resource partners are expected to attend SOAHR 2018, Georgia's largest annual gathering of HR professionals.
The two-day conference is designed to help attendees gain insights and strategies to meet workplace challenges, learn best practices, network, develop skills and build knowledge. Expert presenters hail from regional, national and global organizations, including MARTA, ApplicantPro, GE, Ogletree Deakins, Women Igniting Change, NCR, Alzheimer's Association, IHG/Intercontinental Hotel Group and many others. Keynote speaker Shelton Goode, MARTA's executive director of diversity and inclusion, will address global trends that will redefine work, workers and the workplace. Comedian Judson Laipply's keynote is "Life Is Change: Don't Adapt to Change—Lead It."
SOAHR 2018 sessions will cover topics of interest to HR professionals from entry-level to the C-suite who work in compensation and benefits, operations, training and development, recruiting, talent management, consulting, employment law, HRIS, labor and employee relations, and many other areas. Additional highlights include a pre-conference workshop, interactive programs and early-morning sessions. SHRM-certified attendees are eligible for 12 professional development credits toward recertification.
