SHRM Certification Lounge

This dedicated space is reserved for SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certificants. Recharge yourself and your phone, grab a snack and some giveaways, and chat with fellow SHRM credential-holders. Recertification counselors will be on hand to answer your questions about maintaining your credential. Location: Connection Zone, Hall A. Hours: June 17, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; June 18, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; June 19, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; June 20, 8 to 11 a.m. 

Smart Stage Presentations

These 18-minute "executive summary"-style briefings are perfect for busy attendees: 

  • SHRM Certification: An Update on the Global Standard for HR Certification. Alexander Alonso, Ph.D., SHRM-SCP, SHRM's chief knowledge officer, will describe new developments in the SHRM certification initiative and provide vital information for those seeking to attain their SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. Learn how SHRM credentials can best serve you in your day-to-day work. (June 17, noon)

  • SHRM Recertification Made Easy! Alicia Crittendon, SHRM's manager of certification engagement, will explain what the recertification requirements are for SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP credential-holders, how to earn PDCs from the widest array of activities (many of which you may already be doing), and when to submit your application. You worked hard to earn your SHRM designation, so make sure you don't lose it—recertify! (June 19, 1:50 p.m.)

  • Achieve Your Certification Goal with the SHRM Learning System. Elizabeth Moore, SHRM-SCP, vice president at Holmes Corp., will help you discover tools and resources to expand your knowledge, skills and competence as you prepare for the SHRM certification exam. Especially valuable for SHRM-CPs looking to earn the SHRM-SCP. (June 18, 3 p.m.)
