A new resource available on the SHRM Certification Portal allows those who have passed their SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam to direct an e-mail to their supervisor announcing that achievement.
The letter, signed by Brian Dickson, SHRM senior vice president of certification, informs the certificant's supervisor of the competencies tested by SHRM’s rigorous examination, and affirms that the new SHRM credential holder has “not only mastered technical HR knowledge, but also the ability to effectively apply that knowledge in the workplace.” The message concludes by thanking the supervisor for support as the successful candidate “worked to achieve this major professional milestone.”
To take advantage of this resource, certificants must sign in to the portal, then enter the supervisor’s contact information. The customized letter is e-mailed to the address entered.
