Monster Worldwide Inc. has acquired TalentBin Inc., a social profile talent search engine, and Gozaik LLC, a developer of social jobs aggregation and distribution technology, it announced late on Feb. 24, 2014. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
“The acquisition of TalentBin and Gozaik completes one key component of a larger strategy designed to help our business grow,” Sal Iannuzzi, chairman, president and chief executive officer of
Monster Worldwide, said in a media statement.
“We look forward to sharing more details about these plans at our investor briefing event later this year.”
TalentBin, based in San Francisco, matches candidates to employers through a talent database drawn from candidate activity on social websites—including Facebook, Twitter, Quora, Meetup, Github and Stack Overflow—and provides customer relationship management tools to allow employers to efficiently manage candidate communications.
Gozaik aggregates social job announcements and distributes broad and targeted job ads across social channels, enabling employers to find, engage and hire talent on Twitter.
Both acquisitions closed during the first quarter of 2014. Monster’s strategy briefing for investors is scheduled for May 14.
