The confirmation hearing for labor secretary nominee and CKE Restaurants CEO Andrew Puzder has been delayed indefinitely.
Puzder was slated to testify before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions on Feb. 7, but the hearing won't be rescheduled until the committee receives his paperwork from the Office of Government Ethics, according to
The Washington Post.

The decision is the fourth time that Puzder's hearing has been delayed. His hearing was previously scheduled for Jan. 12, Jan. 17, Feb. 2 and Feb. 7.
'Plenty of Time' to Review Paperwork Requested
Sen. Patty Murray, D- Wash., the top Democrat on the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, has requested "plenty of time" to thoroughly review Puzder's paperwork, once it has been received, before a hearing is scheduled. (KABC)
Slow Approval of Cabinet Picks
Congress has been slow to approve President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet nominees. Puzder has been among the "most challenging" cabinet picks, according to former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, but Giuliani predicted he will be confirmed. (Politico)
However, Puzder may be reconsidering accepting the nomination, after being subject to intense criticism from Democrats and labor unions. "He may be bailing," said a Republican source. (CNN)
Opponents of Puzder's nominations claim that he has violated wage and hour, safety, and equal employment opportunity regulations at his restaurants. (SHRM Online)
Qualifications Challenged and Defended
While some challenge Puzder's qualifications, industry experts say CKE's violations under his leadership have been minimal compared to those of the company's competitors. (SHRM Online)
