WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT RISING RECRUITMENT FRAUD IN THE VIRTUAL WORK WORLD?
Page Content
Employees today join the workplace remotely, get inducted remotely and even deliver work in a completely remote and distributed work environment. While on one hand this has enabled organizations the flexibility to scale up rapidly- it has also significantly increased avenues for recruitment fraud.
In today’s virtual work world- recruitment fraud can take the shape and form of:
- Quoting false or non-existent degrees/diplomas
- Falsification of resume data
- Proxy attendees for work assessments
- Employment in multiple organizations at the same time
- & many more
Studies today show that an organization can lose $17,000 on average (as per a CareerBuilder study), for a wrong hire or for hiring someone with a false degree. The recruiting team doesn’t have any tool which can help mitigating this damage, once done. The only tried and tested solution to prevent resume frauds in organizations is to conduct a thorough background verification process. Hence, it is an extremely important tool for businesses.
Background checks can help assist in selecting the best possible candidates for your organization. However, many organizations still have a lot of queries about the process, for instance:
- Why should you consider employee background verification?
- How does the process work?
- What parts of a candidate’s resume should one check?
- How do I get started?
Check out an e-book to answer all of these queries.
