Herkeema Adams, more affectionately known as Keema, is a SHRM-CP certified Human Resources professional with over three years of experience and a deep passion for the field. Her career began as a Human Resources Business Partner and Compensation Intern at DHL Global Forwarding’s Americas Regional office, where she developed a strong foundation in HR strategy and analytics. She currently works at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, where she has advanced through several roles and now serves as a People & Culture Generalist. In this position, she leads initiatives across compensation and benefits, employee engagement, compliance, and data analytics. She is known for her process improvement mindset and has spearheaded projects that automated the museum’s personnel system, streamlined HR request workflows, and introduced other impactful operational enhancements.
She is a decorated graduate of Florida International University, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business. Her commitment to continuous learning is evident in her certifications from the McKinsey Academy’s Leadership Essentials program and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Miami Cohort 46. In June 2024, she successfully earned her SHRM-CP credential, achieving scores in the Areas of Strength for every exam domain.
Outside of her professional achievements, Keema has a heart for service and actively contributes to her community through volunteer work. She has served with organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters Miami, Lotus House, the Salvation Army, and the Sierra Club’s Inspiring Connections Outdoors program, where she is currently serving as an Activity Chaperone and Social Media Manager. Her passion for giving back drives her to seek out meaningful opportunities to uplift others and support causes that matter.
Her long-term goal is to become a well-rounded and dynamic Human Resources leader who combines strategic thinking with empathy and innovation. She views HR Tomorrow as a valuable step in this journey, offering the chance to grow alongside like-minded professionals, gain new insights, and further shape her impact in the field.
