In 1998, when Andrea Gill was recruited to be the senior vice president for HR at the Capital Group in Los Angeles, she told the company she was pregnant with twins. No problem, they said, "we're a long-term focused company." She went on maternity leave just four days into her new position. Now, more than 25 years later and having risen to become the CHRO at Capital Group, Gill says "I've always tried to pay that forward," and aims to align those people-first values that helped shape her career.
In this episode of the People + Strategy podcast, Gill joins host Tony Lee to discuss her career, the maturing of inclusion, equity & diversity initiatives, the case for a measured approach to AI and remote work.
