To safeguard your organization's data assets, you should conduct thorough risk assessments, train employees to use AI responsibly, and establish protocols for data protection.

Upskill workers to close the AI skills gap. AI is changing work expectations. But according to a recent Salesforce survey, 70 percent of leaders expect to face an employee skills gap that hinders them from safely and effectively leveraging artificial intelligence in the workplace. To build a more adaptable, efficient and strategic workforce, your organization must train employees to:

  • Familiarize themselves with AI models.
  • Understand ethical and secure uses of AI.
  • Develop skills to effectively navigate AI tools.
  • Identify when using artificial intelligence is the best course of action.

Empowering your employees with AI-related knowledge and expertise will not only enhance their practical capabilities but also help streamline their tasks and facilitate the integration process.

  • Reverse your questions or prompts. Instead of asking ChatGPT for answers, prompt it to elicit questions you need to answer, allowing it to generate more specific, accurate and straightforward assistance.
         For example, say you need to create an employee learning and development plan. Instead of asking ChatGPT, "Can you help me write a development plan for an employee?" ask, "What questions do you need me to answer to create a development plan for an employee based on [X] situation or historical behavior?" Here, ChatGPT can guide you by asking for specific details that make the task clear, which enables ChatGPT's answers to be more efficient and helpful.
  • Use ChatGPT as a checklist. ChatGPT can also act as an all-encompassing checklist, ensuring that no corners of a task are left unchecked. It can help you identify missed opportunities, fill in the gaps, prompt you to consider various approaches and cover all aspects of a task. Consider asking, "What is this email missing?" or, "Should I add anything to this blog article?"

2. Leverage Generative AI as Your Writing Assistant

Effective communication is at the heart of any successful organization—and generative AI can be your ally to achieve that. Use ChatGPT to detail or write clear job descriptions, compose emails and generate social media content tailored to specific target audiences.

ChatGPT can also provide proofreading and editing suggestions and, when asked to do so, it can even guarantee consistent messaging and tone of voice across the writings it provides.

  • Numerous AI helps you easily interact with Google Sheets, allowing you to generate formulas, categorize items and pull in information by simply describing what you want to do in plain language, which eliminates the need for specialized knowledge.

They automate responses, ensure faster response times and suggest solutions to customer queries. Moreover, when it comes to creating content, AI tools like ChatGPT can help identify your target audiences and tailor messaging and tone of voice to better connect with them.
