Mike Letizia

President of Letizia HR Solutions, Inc.

Michael Letizia

Mike Letizia is the founder and President of Letizia HR Solutions, Inc., and a senior human resource consultant with over 40 years of experience spanning the full spectrum of HR functional areas. His career includes more than 30 years of leadership at the director, vice president, and president levels. As an accomplished senior HR generalist, Mike’s expertise encompasses strategic planning, workforce analysis, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, recruiting and selection, payroll and salary administration, human resource development, occupational safety, and security.

Mike is a recognized subject matter expert in California employment law and a certified trainer in mandated FEHA harassment prevention training under California AB 1825, AB 2053, SB 396, and SB 1343. He is the author and developer of the 8-hour course, “California Employment Law Essentials for Business,” and has contributed to SHRM’s development of the SHRM California Law HR Specialty education credential program. A credentialed member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) since 2002, Mike earned his SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional) credential in July 2015.

A strong advocate for stewardship and community involvement, Mike served as the Pacific West Region Representative on SHRM’s Membership Advisory Council in 2015 and 2016 and currently serves as an Emeritus member of the CalSHRM Continuity Committee. He is also a contracted instructor for SHRM, delivering both virtual and in-person HR education courses across the United States and California. Mike frequently facilitates SHRM courses such as “California HR: Applying California Employment Law to HR Practices,” “Human Resource Business Partner,” “Essentials of HR,” “SHRM Certification Exam Preparation,” and others.

In addition to his consulting and training work, Mike is a sought-after speaker at business and trade associations, where he delivers presentations, workshops, and courses on a wide range of HR topics. Since 2004, he has collaborated with the University of the Pacific’s Career Resource Center and Eberhart Business School, assisting students with career preparation and professional development.
