SHRM AI+HI Specialty Credential: Ushering in a New Era

Let’s take a look at the newest specialty credential, the SHRM AI+HI Specialty Credential. It provides you the opportunity to evolve your artificial intelligence knowledge and skills as the profession itself evolves.

The concept of intelligent machines has captivated humanity for centuries. From ancient myths of automatons to modern science fiction, the idea of AI has permeated our imagination. But AI is no longer the stuff of dreams—it’s a rapidly evolving reality, and its impact on the workplace is undeniable. This is especially true for HR professionals, who are on the front lines of building and managing the modern workforce.

Why HR Needs to Embrace AI

The world of work is undergoing a significant transformation driven by AI. HR professionals who remain on the sidelines risk falling behind the curve. Here’s how AI is impacting the HR landscape:

  • Recruitment and talent acquisition. AI can automate tasks such as resume screening and candidate prescreening, freeing up HR professionals to focus on more strategic initiatives. AI-powered tools can also analyze job descriptions and candidate profiles to identify the best matches, reducing bias and streamlining the hiring process.

  • Curiosity. Here, we foster a spirit of inquiry around implementing AI within organizations. HR professionals will gain a vision for AI’s potential benefits and how it can be used strategically.
  • Experimentation. Empowered by newfound knowledge, participants will learn the practical steps of implementing AI in their workplaces. Fear will give way to excitement as they discover what’s possible with AI and how to share this knowledge for impactful change.

The SHRM AI+HI Specialty Credential goes beyond traditional learning. Participants gain access to SumTotal Communities, a vibrant online forum created just for this course. Here, they can engage with AI experts and get their questions answered by industry specialists, ensuring a deep understanding of AI applications in HR. They will also be able to share experiences, insights, and best practices with fellow HR professionals on their AI journeys. This fosters a collaborative learning environment and a sense of community within the course.

The course culminates in a groundbreaking capstone project. Participants will have the opportunity to apply their learnings to create a personalized AI implementation plan.
